The #3 injector is leaking somewhere below the retaining clip and is pooling on the outside of the head on the 1480. It isn't coming from neither the return line or high pressure line. I removed and had the injectors rebuilt approx six years ago and probably have around 200 hrs on them. I do remember a copper compresson seal but not any other seals. Suspect the nozzle body has cracked or the nozzle assembly wasn't sufficiently tightened and blew an internal O-ring. Is this a typical problem and are my suspicions accurate? Last time I drained the anti-freeze, but didn't encounter any problems with the adapter sleeve coming out, so are considering not draining it this time since it hasn't been many hours. Also did use some antiseize when reinstalling after the rebuild. Appreciate any suggestions before we tear into her, except to get rid of it and buy a JD.
