Phil Before purchasing the rebuild kit, measure the main bearing and connecting rod journals. The crankshaft may have been reground. Proper size inserts can ordered. I rebuild a '47 M with the NAPA 4" bore high compression pistons and sleeves. The kit quality was fine with the exception of the head gasket. I purchased a new head gasket from CIH. On another "M", I paid $22.00 for an intake/exhaust gasket from CIH (ouch). This tractor has 165-170 psi of compression. It runs well. Good luck. Ray
