I had a problem with cold weather (10F) and the Super A not moving when trying to tow it into the shop. Put some pieces of carpet over the tractor to cover it well. Put a heater under the tractor for 10 hours in a safe place. Was able to turn the tractor but would not start. Towed the tractor to the top of the hill and coast started it. Drove it into the shop and let it sit the night in a nice warm shop. On Saturday I drained the transmisison and rear differential. THe first two gallons was all water. Then a thick tan colored goo came out. So on Wednesday I will go buy a couple of gallons of 90 weight to pour into the transmisison. I thought about pouring diesel into the transmission and driving around and then draining it out before I put the gear grease back in. So I have had one suggestion from a reader to prevent water from coming into the transmission by poking a hole into a oil container cap and then forcing that over the shifter shaft. Any other ideas for a cheap boot for the shifteron a Super A? Does anyone sell boots for these?
