Bob M, I certainly am glad that you made those schematics as it has saved a lot of poor typing on all of our behalves. A lot of conversions have been rewired correctly and there are a lot more tractors out there with systems that work reliably and usually on the first try. I agree that the diode is the less preferred means to get the exciter voltage to the alternator. I also do not like the one wire systems being sold. Most of them will discharge a batttery if the tractor is used only occasionally. Best of luck to you.
