My favorite way to "split" tractors is simply block up the center section (usually transmission) and then work from the front bolster, engine, back. Smaller pieces that can be handled with a heavy engine hoist.
While it looks like less work for what you're doing to do a bellhousing/engine split there are two larger pieces to be handled and realigned.
Usually I have "other" maintenance and repair projects that I want to do so it makes sense for me to break down into smaller pieces. However were I in your situation and needed a quick fix I would spend some time with box tube, flatbar, welder and drill press to make up some height-adjustable splitting stands.
For wedges I'd custom-cut hardwood blocks on the bandsaw (think ash or pecan blocks taken out of skids, could be oak or maple whatever suits and is available)
