You probably wont run that fast during a pull anyways. Set it back to around 1750, and let the governor do its job when the lugging rpms are in use on the track. If the pins are in good condition, and the slack is all out of the moving parts, you shouldnt need to go much over 1800 rpm to do what you want the tractor to do. A different spring can help, but a short spring will not let the linakge travel fully back to idle unless an adjustment to the vertical linkage is redone. ChadS
