I'm guessing this is a factory option on the 460U, similar to the one on the smaller 240U and 340U. I have also seen this on a later model that a local dealer had for sale a while back when Iwas looking for a loader tractor. I don't recall the model, but it has an external cylinder like the Fast Hitch.
The one I worked on would have been used on a later series of tractors, and had one of the best draft control systems I have ever seen, with all the controls in the top cover of the transmission. I believe Oliver may have incorporated some of the features also in a later series, because I was at Charles City with the engineer that held the patents on it. He said the company would most likely release it for them to copy whatever they wanted because the deal with IH was dead. The Oliver it was tested against at the time was a 1655, which I also ran during the field tests. I don't recall how much less HP the 460 had than the 1655, but the draft control was so much more effective on the experimental system that it handled the 4x16s as easily as the bigger Oliver. After testing at our field, it was sent to Charles City and came back "in a box" a year later. It was reassembled and sold to the engineer with the patents. Last I saw it, it sold at an auction after he passed away, probably 20 years ago.

"Barry Seiler, owner of Country Town Farm Supply store used to invite people up to the Johne Deere store. He would give hats and a free meal for everyone that brings a tractor." Elliott said while this
