First of all, thanks everybody for answering. Now I didn't check with pressure gage because I knew there wasn't enough pressure, and like I said it had compression on every stroke. which means to me valves weren't working. Some cylinders didn't have any compression at all. I guess that would mean valves were open. After I removed the valve cover, I could see none of the valves were working. I can only assume the cam isn't turning. I assumed early on the hydraulic pump on the distributer caused the timing gears to strip on the front of the motor. But why does the distributer still turn. Will help tear it down soon. Thanks again for the reply. Wil let you know what is up. Bernie Steffen
