Better get yourself a service manual which will tell you how to service and repair the water pump. Some say you can take the water pump off without removing the radiator, but I think it will be a lot easier if you just take the radiator off and then have good access to everything. The water pump on the WD-6 will be the same as on and M, or MD or a W-6. They usually don't give much trouble. If it is leaking, you may only need to add some shaft packing. These pumps can be completely rebuilt without needing any special equipment and just repairing whatever problem you have will likely be cheaper than buying a new or rebuilt pump.
