I had low pressure on my Super-A, and also had gear wear on my cover. I had it ground smooth. I got TWO gaskets with my engine-overhaul gasket set, both paper-thin. With only one gasket, the pump was very hard to turn, and with the second in place, it turned fine, so that was the end of any measuring for me! I found a quarter-inch blown out of my gasket when I first opened it up, so no wonder my pressure was low. Now, it stays pegged at 30 pounds pressure on my 30lb-max gauge. (It leads me to wonder if the original gauge was supposed to read to 60lb.)
