Plow part mystery

My father and myself have resored a farmall F-12 1934 model. there is one problem .On the side of the lever operated one bottom plow there is a piece of two by three eights flat bar going straight up with a ninety degree bend on the top. the total length of bar is about three to four foot. if anyone out there has seen or heard of this part we would like to hear from you .
