I posted this on another one of the tractor boards, but did not get much response, and thought someone here might have some experience with the large OTR type axles, tires wheels......Just trying to determine value and help someone else out, and recover some of my investment.......
Anyone familiar with or know the value of the tires/wheels/axles from an old semi-trailer? I am in the process of stripping everything off an old semi-trailer. Here is what I know...... 24..5 in tires on what I am told are 10 lug Budd wheels
Markings on trailer say axle capacity is 10,000 each. Brakes all look ok except one which appears to have cracks in lining - probably due to frozen and broken loose when we moved
Tires appear good and 7 of 8 are bandag retreads on Michelin Pilots - last tire is not retread and appears good - all tires appear to have approx 80% tread
Axles are the movable type, and will easily pull out from under trailer (now that I have cut all stops out).
I also have the dollys and will also offer for sale.
All from a 1972 Trailmobile 40 ft. flat trailer which I am salvaging to make a small bridge. I just have no expertise in something like this and do not want to price too high or low and would appreciate any help on values. Thanks in advance or where I might look for value outside of scrap value.

But, I want to talk about my tractor! We didn't even own a lawnmower, and all of a sudden we had enough grass to feed all the starving children of the bovine world. Naturally, I talked
