Well I THINK I have this one fixed now. Thank you Owen, Weldon, KB 826, and everyone else who chimed in. I took the adapter housing back off, took the new seals out and discovered a small scratch in the housing where the seals are installed. I guess I scratched it removing the old seals before (soft metal in there!). Installed another set of new seals with sealant around the outer edges of the seals, run it for awhile, and so far I don't think its leaking fuel into the crankcase anymore. I'm going to use it this week to run an auger loading corn out of a bin, so I'll know more by the time thats done. Again, thanks guys!
