You'd better look again at your manual.80w90 would be right for the steering box,final drives and transmission,but would be too heavy for the hydraulics.
My opinion,for what its worth,is that a good grade of 10w40,or 10w30 motor oil would do justy fine in the hydraulics.Hy-tran is expensive and unnecessary in these older tractors,newer ones,yes.My Super C calls for ''Touch Control'' fluid,whatever that was.
Todays engine oils are designed to withstand more from modern engines than the older engine oils.They'll stand up to the hydraulics on your Cub.
