I know engines from 560 and up will fit an M and so on, but never seen it done to a H or 350. I"m am mostly curious if the engine would fit the bellhousing and if the clutch and such would line up? Would the engine even fit heigthwise or would it interfere with the steering shaft?
Just think this would be a neat conversation piece and for parades and such if it could be done. What"s the consensus on this?
It can be done. Should be a swap right out for a 300-350,,, For a H, you have to swap out the starter ring, pilot bearing and clutch disk for it to drop in a H. H thru 460 is the exact same bellhousing bolt pattern. As for frame rails and a front bolster, 460 rails bolt right on the H-350 bellhousing, it takes it out to the same width as the M -560 frame rails, so possibly put on a M front end for overhead steering. I built one up as a 460,,, when it was done, had alot of power, ended up sellin it. ChadS ChadS3@hotmail.com or www.thetractorshop.com

But, I want to talk about my tractor! We didn't even own a lawnmower, and all of a sudden we had enough grass to feed all the starving children of the bovine world. Naturally, I talked
