The compression readings you list are certainly good for an engine that is not running. The plug wiring info in the other posts is important. There isn't any wrong (reasonable) way to put in plugs, I was making sure they were the abnormal looking long reach plugs. intake valves must be moving if you have good compression, exhaust valves might be not opening and compression would still be indicated. A stuck valve will bend a pushrod, then it can snap shut and not open (no pushrod). Pulling the valve cover off and looking at the valve mechanism will be good enough. Pushrods not on rockers is obvious, as are broken springs and components not moving. Set the valves when you are in there (use the book to assure procedure) JimN
