Although most 350's were built in 1957, they were also produced in 1956 and 1958, until the 460 came out. Same engine in all 3 years. About 1400 were built in 1956, about 3000 in 1958, a little over 13000 in 1957. The 350 was replaced by the 460, which had a 6 cylinder gas, LP, or diesel engine. The 166 was in the 340 and perhaps others. The 340 did arrive in late 1958 about the time (I would guess later) the 460 arrived, that may be what you mean, as the IH began making more models about that time. But the 340 is closer to the smaller 240 than it is the 350.
