I've been looking at a 460 gas in a regional trader paper...says it's not running, but all the tin looks in good shape. Priced under a grand. I also have an International BG-241 truck engine that needs a home. Engine needs an overhaul, but it runs. Truck is rusted beyond repair. Would it be a bright idea to put the truck block in the 460 [after doing an overhaul]? I understand that all the accessories from one would swap to the other by changing the front cover, manifolds, etc... I guess what I'm asking is, would it be a bonehead move to think I might possible break even, or even make a buck, by doing this? I know the stock 460 came out with a C-221 six, so the 241 would put it inbetween the stock 460 and 560 [263] in cubes... Smart move? Dumb move? You tell me.
