Hi Bill, The 384 like the B414 has a split pulley on the water pump. From B414 operators manual removing the fan belt: to remove the fan belt loosen the set screw in the flange of the water pump pulley and unscrew the flange as far as possible. Start the belt out over the outer flange of the crankshaft pulley and pry out with a light bar or rod. Slowly turn the engine over at the same time the belt will work off the pulley. Withdraw the belt between the Pulley and the fan blades. The belt can now be worked over the fan blades. Not much room to work in there with the fan guards. Hope this helps JB2
