Tractor vet thanks for the vote of confidence on the old IH diesels. I think alot of the negative thoughts on these are because people don't understand them. I'am not a machanic but have farmed with them for years and got along fine. I will say if they are in good condition, in cold weather without engine heaters they were the only diesels that started back in the day. I have an MD, SMTAD,400 and 450D they are mostly just for play know but still get used to mow and rake hay. They have a sound all their own. There is Central Fuel Injection Service Co. in Esterville Iowa that works on these pumps and has exchange pumps. Phone 712 362 4200
