I find mispelled words a distraction. The ones I mispell are the ones I don't catch when re-reading my posts. Some people don't know how to spell, some don't bother correcting their mistakes, some think their spelling is cute, some don't care. I do have much less respect for those who spell every other word wrong -- makes me wonder if their mechanical ability is as bad as their spelling. Other irritants are the ones who say "I done that", or I seen that". I realize that a lot of people talk that way without thinking about it, and have done it all their lives, but if they have at least finished grade school, it seems to me that they should at least know not to write it that way.
