Mark , The M doesn't rev very high and mine slows some in 5th also going up a steep hill , so unless you know it's had a fresh rebuild it's just a old tractor that's a lot of fun to drive ! The "belly pump" is slang for the lift-all name . As far as I know from catalogs a pto pump will put out over 2000 psi and up to 12 gpm . the lift-all is lucky to put out 800 psi and I don't know the gpm but you can assume it's not very high and remember that it uses motor oil as hydraulic fluid . But it'll lift a implement cylinder and lower it just fine , it's a loader that might prove frustrating if it's all hydraulic . The live pump from a 400 fitted on the front of the engine is the way to go but not really worth the money since it'll cost around $1000 when alls said and done . It's cheaper in the long run to wait and find a running 400 or 450 because then ya get everything ya want or need . Have fun with it ! ...Randy
