At work when we get a tractor in that has oil in the clutch, it gets replaced no matter what, cause oil is hard to get out of the pads and the aggrivation of doing it over is not worth it. The blocks you mentioned would be under the release fingers were they pivot. If they aren't blocks then they would have small nuts in there instead. I also hope that when you replaced the seal in the pto gear that it was put in the right way and that you aren't getting more oil dumped into the clutch.
