Mark, the generator needs new brushes, I changed mine this past summer for the same reason. Less than a $5.00 fix. Take the generator off, there should be a dust cover that goes around it take it off , there are 3 brushes they are held on with a small screw. If they are wore down to the brush holder they are to problem. The new ones will have a beveled end so it makes good contact. It's about a 30 min. job, and your H will be charging again. Doug
