Sorry to ask a dumb question but I can't get this thru my thick head. While installing a new distributer cap today noticed that my distributer is installed 180 degrees from what it should be. I know this for two reasons. The wire for #3 cylinder is on the post marked #1 on the cap. That doens't matter as long as you are aware of it. The real problem is that the zerk fitting for the distributer shaft is pointing towards the engine and there is no way to get a gun on it. I want to be able to grease this but the engine runs so good I hate to mess with it. Here's the question, if I mark the position of the rotor and spin the body of the distributer 180 degrees will I still be in time? Thanks for any help, Dave.
