I have a Farmall M (49 or 50)wf that got stuck in 1L this weekend while pushing dirt with a loader. I was able to get the gear unstuck by rocking the tractor back a little but now it doesn’t matter what gear I shift into… the tractor is running only in 1L. The gears will shift all into all the gears but it doesn't matter where it's at R-5 or neutral.. its running in 1L. Any ideas on what this is (clutch plate, spring)? Is it something a weekend shade tree mechanic can fix or just shouldn’t mess with? I appreciate any help.
