H throttle shaft

"H" The end of the throttle shaft (between the governor and the carb) which fits into the groove in the carb is worn and sloppy. You can see how the end of the little rectangular piece measures quite a bit less across than the rest of that piece. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? ...or do I have to replace the shaft? Thanks
