The screen is attached to the reservoir cover, which is what the seat bolts to. That cover is about 80 lb, so if you have an engine hoist to lift it with, your back will thank you. You can't set the cover down right-side-up without risking damaging the screen, so make sure you have some blocks to set it on or turn it over. Scrub it with a toothbrush and kerosene to get the crud out of it. You may need to prime the system if the pump has run dry, as it may not pull enough. I just put a rubber-tipped air hose in the vent opening and pressurized it to about 5-10 psi (no more than that) with the engine running. It's pretty obvious by engine noise when it starts pumping again.
