i currently own 2 6.2"s and 2 6.5"s. 2 farm work trucks are the 6.2"s and 1 is my nice truck (6.5 and other is suburban for my wife. 6.2"s not alot of power but darn reliable. ill tell you what though make sure glow plugs work and arent broke off in the head and expect to give her a touch of either or if shes pulgged in your ok very long lasting but not alot of power. 6.5"s good motors 97+ had better cooling systems then earlier ones. good truck when taken care of like anything. 6.5"s are good motors but again as said earlier they wont pull like a duramax and upgrades to a 6.5 are there but not like a duramax. just make sure to get one w/right rear for what your doin also easier to go from gas to diesel then diesel to gas as you dont ahve to add ignition modules o2 sensors etc
