Today I took the pump out of the reservoir on my '43 Farmall H. I replaced the grease retainer and discovered a broken piece in the bottom of the reservoir. It is the tip off casting # 5024-EA. This allowed a cap to come off the push rod that worked this rocker arm and I discovered it in the bottom of the reservoir. There is a spring remaining in the pump casting that connected to the broken tip. Then the pump casting showed a wear spot under the broken rocker arm. ALSO another worn spot directly in the middle of the same casting and directly under the provision for the power drive shaft to the transmission. I cannot see what casued this wear!!! Bugs me!!! I have good pictures which I can e-mail of this if someone wants to help me out and wants to see them. I need advice and possibly a replacement for the broken rocker arm. Thanks.
