Took about an HR tonight and fiddled with it some more. Cleaned and lubed the advance wheights on the dist. Put in the new points, condencer. Gapped them. New rotor and cap. Put in a new set of plugs. I cant find my timing light. Havent used it for 2 moves so could be any where. Might have to buy a new one just to find the old one. You know how that goes. I just set it back the way it was. Crossed my fingers and hit the starter. She stated up with a little choke. Let her warm up a bit then moved the throttle lever. She still stumbles alot. BUT There is a noticable improvement from before. I found that it runs kinda ok with the choke pulled out. Does not stumble or die. I take that as a good sign. Gives me hope that after the carb rebuild and proper adjusting it may be ok. I priced a valve job today and it about $400 so I got my fingers crossed.
