Dan, I used to have both a gas and a diesel 560. Both very good tractors for the years they were made. Strong points of the diesel: Very fuel efficient, plenty of power,lots of used parts still around. Weak points: The diesel is a very hard starter in cold weather, they have a tendency to blow head gaskets and sometimes the head cracks. Price wise: Here in Wisconsin you can find a real good one at an auction for $2,500 to $3,000, sometimes less.
