DOES ANYONE KNOW THE TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS ON A 49' "C" HEADBOLTS?? I have just picked up my rebuilt head from local machine shop (new valve seats/ new valves/ new springs/ pressure tested & fresh paint...total $278)& I am about to bolt it back onto my tractor, but I want to aviod any "stupid" (co$tly) mistakes. The tractor was running when the head was taken off (it was coughing & spitting, problem turned out to be burnt/ chipped valves, last time valves were done, they were hand filed to seat properly & were too thin at edges). While the tractor was apart, I spent 3 days cleaning/ painting it & buying ($800) worth of new parts (tires/ paint/ battery/ decals/ muffler/ starter). Any helpful hints would be appreciated..tomorrow I start putting it all back together.
