How long have you run it total? Almost sounded like a fuel problem, but since you say it will not run without the glow plugs, it's starting to sound like you are low on compression. Actually, it sounds like a fuel and compression problem. Get yourself a manual from the nearest Case-IH dealership, double check the valve lash, Do a compression test, start it up and crack each injector line loose one at a time to bleed air out. If that dosen't get you going, then it's time to let an old IH mechanic who worked on a lot of 560 Diesels look at it. Possible that the fuel pump and injectors need to be tested. What does the exhaust smoke look like?
