44 Farmall A Steering Problem

I have a '44 Farmall A. The curved pipe that holds the steering shaft has a hole that the shaft passes through. There is a lot of play in it, the hole is much bigger than the shaft. Is there supposed to be a bushing in it. If so where can I find one? Thanks, everyone. Larry
