Paul: I went to my tractor shed today looked the tractors over and I believe the fan hub will come out of there without touching rad supports or upper hose. It can be done by taking the 4 small bolts that hold fan to hub out, separating the fan from the hub. I feel quite certain I have done this in the past the more I think about it. Now I will say this, it may well have been the 130 and not the Super A that I did it that way. The 130, having the higher rad and water pump, does indeed give you more room to work. I will not argue too heavily on the SA though. The interesting thing about removeng the rad from one of these offset tractors to do any engine items needing rad off. The quickest way to do it is separate the entire front end from tractor. I did a front seal on one of these, and found that was actually quickest way. If you want the rad off it comes quite easy then. This spring I had to replace rad and water pump on 140. I thought by the change in water pump (to the fan hub on 140) it would be a piece of cake. IH somehow managed to make the 140 more miserable than 130 or SA for removing or installing a rad. When I finished installing that new rad, and as I get older I find the skin on my arms is not as tough as it once was, I felt like Trueman, who went to a new barber shop, and wanted a shave. When the barber, a greenhorn, was done Trueman asked for a glass of water. Barber said, "Are you thirsty Trueman"? Trueman replied," No sir just checking to see if there are any leaks in my mouth."

This would have made me to be about16 years old and I drove the tractor for nothing and would have paid to drive it if I had had any money which I didn't, but neit
