I don't know exactly how old I was, but I must have been in the 1st or 2nd grade when I first started driving our "M" in the fields by myself. I can remember grabing the light bar and pushing in the clutch and quickly taking it out of gear, then sliding over to the other side to hit the brakes if needed. I now have a grandson about about the same age. I also have an interest in a "M", "300" and a "SMTA". I assure you it will be a number of years before I will let him drive one of these tractors by himself.
