I was thinking of replacing the O-rings in my 154 transmission. I started to remove the Countershaft bearing retainer #376 158 R91 (The seal goes in this part), took out the 3 bolts. The Countershaft bearing retainer #376 158 R91 doesn't move. I am afraid to apply force to it, the reason is that I don't know much about transmissions and gears ( shiming, etc.) and don't want to end up screwing up how my gears are set up. I was able to get the countershaft O-ring out by streaching it over the shims in the front and hopefully can get the new on that way. Should I try anything with the Countershaft bearing retainer #376 158 R91 or leave it be? thanks.
