I have a 1951 MD that I paid 2500 for. It needed help when I got it. It wouldn't start on gas and the guy pull started it on diesel. Needless to say I did a complete overhaul on it and it cost more than what I wanted. I paid too much for the tractor for the condition that it was in. I'm not sure how much it would cost to have the head repaired. Hopfully the head isn't cracked. The old diesels are getting harder to find and they are more expensive than the gas tractors. I'm glad I got an MD though. It is a fun tractor to use.
