I believe the operators manual calls for NON-DETERGENT 30 weight for warm weather use, 20 weight for winter, and possibly 10 weight for extreme cold. I use 30 weight year round but my H gets to be inside a shed. Even though the shed is not heated I still get along o.k. It does get cold here in Iowa. The best way to determine how much oil to put in the reservoir is how well does it lift? If your loader or whatever does not go all the way up, you need to add more oil. If you add too much, it will squirt back out the filler cap when you let the loader down. No harm will be done but it does make a mess.
