Clarence - A Super M in good shape is probably one of the best cold-starting gas tractors there is. Mine lights right off after standing overnite at -15 and lower - when most everything else has gone DOA. As others suggest you may be overchoking it. I use full choke for 1 crank revolution, then NO choke until it fires. Then work the choke (partial) for 30 seconds or so as req'd until it runs smooth. Do all this at about 1/4 throttle. You might also check the ignition system - especially if it's still 6 volt. You need a good, hot coil; also clean, properly gapped points and plugs for reliable cold weather starting!
