In my opinion anyone having that much trouble with TA should take a look at their own maintenance practices. What were you using for oil? I had five TA equiped Farmalls 300, 504, 560, 656 and 1066. Probably put 60,000 hours on the five and only replaced one TA. Like the Vet says, it was dairy farming and they saw some rugged use.
