Todd, Your engine oil pressure should be about 40-50 psig on a cold engine. If your oil pressure falls off to below 15 psig after the engine is hot, you've probably got worn crankshaft bearings. I would be suspicious if your oil pressure stayed above 55 psig after the engine was warm. This could mean a plugged oil passage and potential for alot of damage. Since you put in new rings and did valve work on your engine, I highly recommend you take a look at your crankshaft bearings. Worn bearings and excessive clearances put alot of strain on cast iron crankshafts...especially with lots of fresh power coming down from your overhauled top end. My .02 cents.
