water in oil

Just finished rebuilding my M ,new sleeves pistons ,new valves ,guides , head pressure cheched and magnafluxed.Engine cranked right up ran good for app 15 minutes .decided to check the oil and found crankcase full of water that had mixed with the oil .Ihave not pulled the head back off yet to check the head gasket .Was there supposed to be an o-ring seal around the sleeves ? there was none in the kit nor there was any on the old sleeves. any suggestions?
