Honkey is right, If your Farmall has the TA, Your TA will not grab with the heavy gear oil shortly after you put it in. I made this mistake with my Famall 300 and a month later my TA just started to slip in low range. I noticed that my TA got worst in the cold weather. Two years later (and a lot of plowing with this slipping out TA), I decided as a last resort to put in light weight hytrans oil to see if the needle bearings would grab again. Well, Now my TA instantly came to life and works better than ever. I have not had any transmission or rear end problems with my 300 by using this light oil for the past 4 years now, even though my 300 is weighted to about 4 ton.
