If the piston is genuine IH it will have a part number stamped in top of it for identification, I am only familiar with Fire-Crater for H/M/300/450 series, they listed High Altitude pistons in the original engines, never was around any of these, Iowa wasnt considered mountain territory, Fire-Crater was parts option except on later 300/450 series. We advised them in later years when thse tractors were not the big tractor anymore to go with flat top pistons, start easier, gas isnt so critical for octane.
