504 Fenders on an M?

Howdy all, I went scavenging at a local tractor graveyard and found a 504 with a pretty nice set of clamshell appearing fenders on it. They would need to be blasted and repainted, but, here's my question: Would the 504 fenders bolt up to my M fender holes? My unexperienced eyes told me that the bolt pattern was the same, just looking for a little backup, it would be a little safer for my son when we are both joyriding through town if my tractor had fenders.
