Hi Hugh, I had a heck of a time getting the wedges out, just like you said, one was loose and one was set. I won't move the wheels on it again if I don't have too! I had to move my wheels in so I could run my 8' snowblower. They were set wide for mowing road shoulders. I always wondered why there was a clamp only on one wheel. And what it was for! Matthew in SD
