The Cub engine is sleeveless. Oversize pistons are available in several sizes in case on overbore is required. In the unlikely case that it is worn beyond the oversize pistons, a good machine shop can sleeve it at that point. A 140 is a much more capable tractor than a Cub, but a Cub is more than adequate for the amount of mowing you are talking about. Look at the ATIS Cub FAQ for more information about Cubs.
