Here is a photo of my dad and his 69 815 combine, taken early fall of 1970. Combine is equipped with add on 18.4by26 dual wheels, 23.1by26 drivers. The duals were replaced by Goodyear Terra Tires a year later. It had the 304 gas v8. We had a 763 6 row cornhead for it as well. That corn head was very heavy and required 1000# of suitcase weights on the rearend for ballast. This machine was destroyed by fire in 76 and replaced by a lo profile diesel machine, which was much improved over this one. The biggest problem with this machine was final drives always failing. What was sad about this machine being destroyed was Dad had just spent $800 having air conditioning added the winter before, this was the air's first harvest. The new combine had factory air.
